When we talk about top colleges and universities of India one name that comes to mind of all the students is of Aligarh Muslim University. It is one of the most prestigious universities in India. All the students desire to be a part of such university. The university is the hub for all the students who wish to pursue their graduation in various streams like Law, Engineering, Humanities, Medical Sciences etc. the university is situated in Doab, Aligarh. The University hosts a series of entrance examination for admission into numerous courses. Following are the details regarding admission in AMU for 2018:

Important Exam Dates for AMU Admission 2018:

Following are some important dates regarding admission under different courses for AMU 2018-

Eligibility criteria for AMU admissions 2018:

Following are the detailed eligibility conditions regarding AMU admission in different courses for 2018-

1. B. Tech./ B.Arch.
  • For B. Tech./ B. Arch all the students must have cleared their 10+2 from a recognized board or school
  • All the students are eligible only if they have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination.
  • Students must have opted PCM and English in their qualifying examination.
  • All the students holding Diploma in engineering with a minimum of 50% marks are also eligible to apply for both B. Tech./ B.Arch.
2. B.Sc. / B.Com (Hons.)
  • All the students must have cleared their 10+2 from a recognized board or school.
  • Student must have passed the above exam with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • Students must have opted PCM/PCB and English in their qualifying examination.
3. B.Ed.
  • All the students are eligible who hold a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
4. B.A. LL.B.
  •  For B.A. LL.B students are eligible who have passed their 10+2 exams from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • All the candidates must be above 22 years as on 1st July, 2018 only then they will be eligible.
5. MBA/PG Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance
  • All the candidates are eligible only when they hold a Bachelor degree from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.
6. Diploma in Engineering
  • For Diploma in Engineering students must have cleared their 10+2 exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • Students must have opted Science, English and Mathematics in their qualifying examination.
7. M.Sc. (Biotech.)
  • Candidates are eligible only when they hold a bachelor degree in Agriculture, Biological Science, Veterinary Science and Physical Science or Chemistry.
  • Candidates having MBBS/B. Pharma. /B. Tech. degree with at least of 55% marks.

Application form for AMU Admissions 2018:

All the candidates who satisfy the above mentioned eligibility conditions can apply for various courses in AMU. Following are the details regarding application form for admissions-

  • Students have to fill separate application forms for different courses offered at university.
  • Students can apply for a particular course only through application form which is available at the official website of AMU as well as offline.
  • All those who wish to go for offline mode to apply for a course need to download the application form available at website and then the students need to fill and submit the same at university.
  • The application form for different courses will be released by the university by the month of January 2018.
  • For the online mode to apply students need to register them and then fill the application form with all the necessary details correctly.
  • After the above step, the candidate is also required to pay the required fee only then they will be allowed to appear in the exam.
  • At last, the candidates can print the application form for further references.

Exam pattern for AMU Admissions 2018:

  • The entrance exam conducted by the university will be in offline mode through pen and paper.
  • The paper will comprise of different number of questions as per the course, it will be in the form of multiple choice questions
  • The preferred language of the paper is English.
  • It is to be noted that paper will also comprise of negative marking and 1marks will be allotted to students for every correct answer.

Admit Card for AMU Admissions 2018:

Following are the details regarding admit card:

  • Candidates can download their admit card once it gets released by the university on its official website.
  • All the candidates can get their admit card only from the official website as admit cards will not be sent to candidates through post, email or fax.
  • All the candidates are advised to hold their admit card on the date of exam. As candidates will not be allowed to appear in the entrance exam without their admit card.
  • The admit card will comprise of important details regarding exam like examination centre, date, candidates roll number etc.

AMU 2018 Result:

Following are the details regarding AMU Results 2018;

  • Once the entrance exam is completed the board conducting the exam will release the result on the official website of University.
  • All the students can view their results by the month of May/June, 2018
  • All those candidates who manage to qualify the exam will now be eligible to attend the counseling for admission into various courses.
