Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is an educational organization in the state of Maharashtra. Headquartered in Pune, the board was formulated in the year 1966 because of the Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act. The board is responsible for conducting SSC and Higher School Certificate (HSC) exams in the Maharashtra state every year. The board acts according to the norms of state and central governments and is responsible for prescribing syllabus, releasing notifications about exam schedule, conducting examinations and releasing results etc. The final examinations are conducted in the month of March and the results will be released in the month of June.
