Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test popularly known as IPU CET 2018 is a state level entrance examination that is organized and administered by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University every year. The entrance exam acts as a gateway for all the students who wish to pursue their under graduation and post graduation courses that are offered at various GGSIPU colleges in the field of engineering, medical, dental, law, etc. following are in depth details regarding application form, eligibility criteria etc.

IPU CET 2018 Exam Dates:

Following are the details regarding the exam dates (tentative) for IPU CET 2018, candidates are required to visit the official website of IPU CET to keep themselves updated about the dates-

Eligibility criteria for IPU CET 2018:

This entrance exam is organized for admission into various courses thus the eligibility criteria is also different. All the candidates must look into the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Given below are the important points regarding eligibility for an applicant-

  • All the students who wish to apply for various under graduate courses are eligible only when they have completed their 10+2 exam from a recognized board or institute.
  • Whereas all the students who wish to apply for various post graduate courses are eligible only when they have completed their graduation from recognized university or college.
  • All the applicants who is holding a diploma or a degree in B.Sc are eligible for B. Tech lateral entry exam.
  • Following are the criteria regarding age of students-

Age Criteria:

  • For all the undergraduates courses whose qualifying exam is 10+2 (except MBBS/BDS) the age limit is 21 years
  • Whereas for all the post graduates courses whose qualifying exam is graduation the age limit is 35 years.
  • And for Bachelor of Vocation the maximum age limit is 45 years. It is also to be kept in mind that the minimum age limit is 16 years for all the candidates as on 31st December 2018.

IPU CET Application Form:

All the students who wish to appear in the entrance exam need to apply for the exam through an application form which available only through online mode. All the candidates who are eligible for the exam can apply for different courses. Following are the details regarding filling of application form for IPU CET 2018:

  • All the students can apply for application form from the official website of IPU. The expected dates for release of application form is from last week of January 2018
  • A candidate needs to first visit the official website of IPU and click on the registration link
  • After the above step, the candidate needs to choose preferred exam category from the options shown.
  • After the above step one needs to fill in their personal and educational details as asked in the application form very carefully.
  • A candidate also needs to upload their recent passport size photograph and their signature along with the application form.
  • After the above step, the candidate needs to choose their course and desired test centre to appear in the exam and then click on the submit option.
  • Once the above steps are of the candidates gets registered who needs to login again and pay the required application fees
  • After the payment of application fees, one need to print the hard copy of the application form for further purposes.

Application Fee:

The application fees for all the candidates is Rs. 1000 only which the applicant can pay through their debit cards, credit cards, or through net banking.

IPU CET Exam Pattern 2018

Following are some important points regarding examination pattern-

  • The mode of examination will be offline for all the entrance exams conducted under CET
  • The examination paper for the entrance exam will consist of objective type questions. Whereas M.A. English paper will comprise of essay types questions and M.Phil English will comprise of various subjective types questions.
  • There will be a total of 150 questions in all CETs examination.
  • English is the only medium for the exam. Whereas for B.Sd exam there are two mediums English and Hindi.
  • The total duration of examination allotted to all students will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Students should also keep in mind that there will also be a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer. Whereas each right option will be allotted 4 marks.

 Syllabus 2018 for IPU CET

Students should keep in mind that syllabus for different examinations is different therefore it is advised to all the candidates to visit the official website for more details. Whereas syllabus for B.Tech exam will consist questions from subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics covered in 11th and 12th class of CBSE.

IPU CET 2018 Admit Card (Details)

All the students can easily download their admit card from the official website of the board. Admit card is expected to be released from the last second last week of March 2018 on the official website. It is also to be noted that admit card is the very important document for all the students without which they will not be allowed to appear in the exam.

IPU CET 2018 Results (Details)

  • All the students can see their results from the official website
  • The expected date of which the results will be available on the official website is from 2nd week of May 2018.
  • All the students will be allotted seats in different colleges of IPU based on the merit list which will be issued by the board conducting the examination.
