MHT CET 2018 Application Form, admit card, eligibility and Results

MHT CET 2018: Maharashtra Common Entrance Exam is popularly known as MHT CET. This entrance exam is conducted every year by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).  It is one of the most popular state level entrance examinations that are conducted in the state of Maharashtra. All the students who seek admission in various degree courses like Engineering, Health Science, Pharmacy and Technology need to qualify this exam to get the seat in different colleges of Maharashtra the exam is held every year in the month of May. Following are in depth details regarding its eligibility conditions, application form, exam pattern etc.

MHT CET 2018 Important Dates:

Following are the details regarding important dates for MHT CET 2018 exams, candidates are also advised to visit the official site for more updates as these are only tentative dates.

Eligibility criteria for MHT CET 2018 Exam:

Candidates can appear in the exam only when they are eligible. Following are some eligibility conditions which a candidate need to satisfy-

For all the degree Courses in Health Sciences

  • Only those students can apply who are having got citizenship of India.
  • All the candidates are eligible only when they have cleared their 10+2 examination from a recognized board or institute.
  • All the students must have cleared their qualifying examination with PCB and English as main subjects.
  • Only those Candidates will be considered eligible who are born on or before 1st October, 2001 for getting admission in Ayurveda and Unani course. Whereas for rest courses candidate must be born on or after 31st December 2001.

For all the degree courses in Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy

  • Only those students can apply who are having got citizenship of India.
  • The candidates are eligible only when they have cleared their 10+2 examination from a recognized board or institute.
  • All the students must have cleared their qualifying examination with PCM and English as main subjects.
  • The candidate who is still appearing in the qualifying exam is also eligible to give MHT CET 2018.
  • For admission in Engineering, Technology and Pharmacy courses there is no age limit for any candidate.

Application form for MHT CET 2018:

Following are the details regarding application form and registration process for MHT CET 2018;

  • All those candidates who are eligible can apply through an application form.
  • Candidates can fill application only from the official website of the board which is expected from the month of March 2018
  • Candidates are required to fill the application form very carefully providing all the mandatory information.
  • Candidates are also required to attach and upload their recent passport size photograph and signature.
  • Once the above steps are over candidates need to pay the required fees whose details are given below
  • At last all candidates are also required to print the application form for further purposes.

Application Fee

  • All the candidates belonging to the general category are required to pay their application fees i.e. Rs.800 whereas this fee falls down to Rs. 600 for reserved category candidates.
  • Candidates can pay their fees through SBI Bank Challan.

MH CET 2018 Exam Pattern

Following are the details regarding the exam pattern for MH CET 2018 exam;

The exam will be held in the 2nd week of May 2018. Candidates those applied for engineering courses have to appear for PAPER 1 & PAPER 3. Those applying for the Heath Science degree and other courses have to appear for PAPER 1 & PAPER 2. Candidates check below the exam pattern:

  • All the students have to give Paper 1 and Paper 3 under Engineering course, whereas students need to give Paper 1 and Paper 2 under Health Science and rest courses.
  • The entrance exam will be held under offline mode through pen and paper.
  • The paper will be asked in different languages as per the preference of candidate viz- English, Marathi, Urdu for PCB.
  • The paper will consist of objective type question which will carry a total of 100 marks for each paper.
  • Candidates should also keep in mind that paper will not consist of any negative markings.

MHT CET 2018 Admit Card

  • All the candidates can download their admit card from the official website of MHT CET
  • Candidates should keep in minds that admit card will be available only at official website as it will not be sent to them through post or mail.
  • The expected release of admit card is by the month of April 2018.
  • Students should also keep in minds that admit card is very important document without which candidate will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
  • Candidates are also required to carry an additional id proof along with their admit cards.

MHT CET 2018 Result

Once the exams are completed the board conducting the exam will release the results for MHT CET 2018. The results are expected to be released by the month of June 2018. Candidates can see their results only from the official website of the board. All those candidates who clear the results will be eligible to attend the counseling session for admission into various courses and colleges. All the candidates are required to bring the entire important document including their result on the date of counseling.
