WBJEE 2018 will be conducted in the month of May. Through this entrance exam near about 36000 seats will be filled by all the prospective candidates who manage to clear their respective exam and procure a seat in various state colleges and universities. West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam which is called as WBJEE is a state level common entrance test which is practiced by West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEEB) in order to invite admissions to various numbers of colleges and universities operating in the state of West Bengal. The entrance test is held every year to allure large number of candidates in undergraduate courses of engineering, architecture and pharmacy courses in various West Bengal colleges, Self-financed institutions, and West Bengal universities.

Eligibility criteria for WBJEE 2018:

All the candidates who desire to give WBJEE 2018 form must pass following criteria.

  • A candidate must be of Indian origin. He/she should be an Indian citizen.
  • The minimum age limit for the candidates is 17 years as on 31 December 2018, whereas there is no maximum age limit prescribed by the examination board.
  • Whereas in the case of Marine Engineering courses, the board has given the minimum age limit to be 17 years whereas the maximum age limit for all candidates is 25 years as on 31 December 2018.
  • In terms of Academic Qualifications, a candidate must have cleared their 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must have Physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Also one must secure a minimum of 45% marks in their qualifying examination (40% in the case of SC/ST).

WBJEE 2018 Application Form:

For all those candidates who wish to apply for WBJEE 2018 can follow the instruction step by step as given below.

  • One must first visit the official website of WBJEE board
  • WBJEE application form is available for all the candidates through online mode on the website. One can then apply for the form by clicking relevant tabs.
  • Once the above process is done the candidate should then carefully fill in and upload all the mandate details like latest colored passport sized photograph, signature, category certificate, domicile certificate, income certificate, PWD certificate, 10th mark sheet.
  • One must then pay the required fees for the application which can be paid by candidates either online or offline through challans.
  • And any change in the application can also be made in future through the correction window over the website.

Application Fees

The application fee by all the candidates is to be paid while filling the WBJEE 2018 application form the application fees is Rs.500 which can be paid by all the candidates through following two modes given below-

Online Mode:

The entire candidate while filling the application through the website can pay their application fees for WBJEE through online mode from their debit card, credit cards or net-banking services. Once the payment is made successful candidate can then print the confirmation page through the website.

Offline Mode:

The entire candidates who are not able to pay fees online can also pay the fees through offline mode. One can pay the fees offline by an E-challan of Allahabad Bank. In order to pay fees in such manner one must click on the offline option which will generate a challan containing details of candidates plus the amount to be paid by them. This challan is to be taken to the bank in order to make the payment by the candidate.

WBJEE Exam Pattern 2018:

All the candidates must be aware of the examination pattern in order to clear the WBJEE exams. Following are some points describing examination pattern-

  • The entrance will be conducted through offline mode. The total marks of the paper are assigned to be of 200.
  • The paper will be consisting of multiple choice questions which will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • The total number of question to be assigned to these three subjects will be 155 questions.
  • The category 1 and category 2 will also be containing negative marking of .25 marks whereas category 3 will have no negative markings.
  • The category 1 & 2 will be having only one option as correct whereas category 3 will be having one or more option as correct answers.

WBJEE 2018 Admit card (Details):

Once all the candidates have submitted their application form, WBJEE will then be issuing them admit cards which the applicants can download from the official website of WBJEE board. A candidate can download their respective admit card two or three weeks before the entrance exams are scheduled to commence. Admit cards are estimated to be available on the website in the month of April 2018. All the candidates must possess their admit card to be allowed to appear in the exam.

WBJEE 2018 Result (Details):

Once the exams are conducted the result will be announced by the WBJEE board by the month of June 2018. All the respective who manages to qualify the entrance exam will now be able to apply for admission in respective colleges and universities in West Bengal.
